Alerter Components

Status Page - Reports the current status of all the alerts. Red X's identify problem areas, greens dots reassure that things are running as expected.
Details Page - Alert-specific information is presented to help troubleshoot problems and verify the operational integrity of the system.
Event Viewer - Identify patterns related to GIS performance.
Configuration Manager - A graphical user interface for creating, updating and deleting alerts and test-specific parameters.
Email and Text Message Notification - Be notified the instant a problem is detected with your enterprise GIS.
Reporter - Monthly and Daily Performance Reports

Status Report The status report provides a one-stop-shop for you to assess the current state of your GIS system. Alerts are presented by group with graphic elements to indicate whether the test ran successfully or not.

Reporter Module The Reporter (version 3.0) allows GIS Managers to summarize GIS reliability and performance for up to two months.


Alert Details One-click away from the status report, users will find the Details page. The Details page shows all the alert-specific settings as well as a textual description of the current problem and a recommended action. This is the self-healing part of the system, and really there is no magic - all you have to do is provide some text in the setup and that text is presented as a guide to troubleshooting the problem.

Event Viewer The Alerter Event Viewer gives you access to detailed information about your enterprise GIS system health. The information is presented in an easy-to-read graphical format, helping you identify potential patterns related to GIS performance.

Configuration Manager Each of the alerts/tests are stored in the system as raw XML. The Configuration Manager component provides a graphical user interface that helps guide you through the creation and modification of alerts. It comes complete with validation and helps simplify the management of your tests.
